Irish employment law continues to develop at an extraordinary rate. Is your Organisation familiar with the most recent changes?

What is this webinar about?

Irish employment law has been developing at an extraordinary rate over the past number of years and the first half of 2024 has been no different. There has been a huge expansion of the Employment Permits system, the publication of draft legislation on auto-enrolment, further developments around mandatory retirement ages as well as the much-anticipated rights to request remote and flexible work and the accompanying Code of Practice.

This webinar covers the following recent employment law changes and expected developments for the rest of 2024 including:

  • Expansion of the Employment Permit System & Employment Permits Bill 2022
  • Flexible State Pension Options under the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023
  • Workplace Relations Act 2015 (Fixed Payment Notice) Regulations 2023
  • Code of Practice on Right to Request Remote Work and Flexible Work for Caring Purposes
  • General Scheme of the Employment (Restriction of Certain Mandatory Retirement Ages) Bill 2024
  • Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System Bill 2024
  • Employment (Collective Redundancies and Miscellaneous Provisions) and Companies (Amendment) Act 2024
  • Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 – Employee Threshold 150+ in 2024
  • Parent’s Leave & Benefit Increase to 9 Weeks in August
  • Directive (EU) 2022/2941 on Adequate Minimum Wages
